Here at Guy and Girl Travels, we get a lot of questions about who we are and what we do. (We are so secretive!) So, because you’ve asked, here are 12 fun facts based on the 12 years we’ve been together:

1. Guy is 1 of 7 children and has a twin sister, Jodi. Girl has 2 brothers and one sister. (We are both the youngest child in our families.)

2. Guy and Girl grew up around the corner from each other and often bumped into each other throughout our childhood. We even unknowingly sat next to each other at the same lunch table in high school one year!

3. Guy designed Girl’s engagement ring and wedding band.

4. Guy proposed to Girl, August 15, 2000, during the moonrise on the beach of 6th Street in Ship Bottom, NJ. He pretended to fall when he got down on one knee. Girl said no, no, no, no, no, no, no, which in Girl’s world was a yes!

5. We had a traditional wedding and honeymooned in Walt Disney World.

6. On a trip to Paris, we never made it to the top of the Eiffel Tower because Girl freaked out! (Imagine standing on a subway ride that is going up on an angle!) We only made it to the second tier.

7. Guy is a fine artist/graphic artist and creator of Onorato Demos.

8. Girl has a Bachelor’s Degree in HR and is a Business Systems Executive for a local organization.

9. Lil’ Bob Barker’s real name is Caesar. We nicknamed him Lil’ Bob Barker because he is a little guy who barks a LOT!

10. Guy hates gravy but will only eat it abroad, while Girl hates lettuce and has just recently lost her olive virginity.

11.  During a major Jersey Shore fire, Guy’s photos were featured on ABC7online.

12. Girl was on MTV when she was 17, saying how Aerosmith’s, “I Don’t Want To Miss a Thing” was in their video countdown. Three years later, we danced to this at our wedding!
